WHY US?

We are an independently run optician situated in the historic town of Maldon, Essex.

How we started....

The practice opened in April 1986 and was started by Mr George Templeman, an Optometrist, and his daughter Mary Baxter a qualified dispensing optician.
Mr Templeman has since retired but Mary still works hard at this busy & friendly practice. Starting an ophthalmic practice from new is always a difficult task, but over the ensuing 26 years we have built a reputation in the town for professional eyecare at very reasonable prices.

Our Aims....

We always try to give our customers the best of both worlds. Professional service & high levels of eye care, coupled with frames and lenses reasonably priced. Our mission is to send our customers away satisfied & happy. We do not advertise at all & rely solely on recommendation from satisfied customers, many of whom have been with us since we opened and now bring in their friends & families!
